A national day submitted as a Organ Donation Day

A day called ”Organ Donation; Life Donation” was added to Iranian calendar after one year of efforts of Organ Procurement Unit, Shahid Beheshti Medical Science authorities, which was approved by Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution (SCCR)

On May21th, 1989, Imam Khomeini announced that organ donation is permitted.
